Bill Celley, current driver and former Senior 88M NCOIC with the US Army

My name is William Celley. I am a long time resident of Gouverneur, NY. I like many before me had proudly served my country for 15 years before being medically discharged. Like some upon getting out, it was a struggle to find work because nobody was hiring. While in the service I was an 88M proudly transporting soldiers and supplies where they were needed. Once back to civilian life I was able to get a job in the trucking industry because while serving I used my GI benefits to enroll myself in trucking school. At times it was hard being away from the family and also finding the right company that just fit and felt right. One day I was looking for work and my father in-law had mentioned to me about this trucking company in LaFargeville, NY. The company was known as Gilco. It’s a small family owned business where to them you’re not treated like a number like larger companies, they treat you like family. Owners Jill and Lee took me in as one of their own and its been the best time in my life. From the office staff Billy and Renee to shop foreman Dave and the guys in the shop it truly feels like home. Here at Gilco we run NEW and up to date equipment with Verizon ELD tablets within the Kenworth and Freightliner models all throughout the Northeast region and at times to Ohio and even to Virginia. Myself and my other fellow drivers here are generally out for 5-7 days and are able to spend our 34 hour resets at home with our loved ones. We here operate 53′ reefer units hauling anything from dairy products to dry goods. If you are thinking about changing jobs and want to feel like part of a family come to Gilco and become a part of our family.

“It’s a great company and it’s growing. I believe that if you want to start somewhere and grow with a company, Gilco is a great fit.

What I like about Gilco is that you’re not just an employee it’s more like family. Plus the newer equipment makes the job so much better.”
